Jackie Robinson Broke The Color Barrier In Baseball. He became the first black person ever to play in the Major League Baseball and Play On A Major League Team. He signed with the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1947, and was named Rookie of the Year that year, National League MVP in 1949 and a World Series champ in 1955. When He First started playing baseball Jackie played in the African American league then worked his way up to the Major Leagues.
